Thought I’d give an update of what is happening with my project, and what I’ve been doing this week. Our project title is ‘The Human Condition’ which I am linking back to the theme of identity. You can read the first part of that project here. I have been creating a sculpture this week based on an abstract version of the map of Panmure where my great (x3) grandad lived. This has involved lots of new processes for me including spot welding, metalwork and woodwork. It is really great seeing my idea come to life and I am thoroughly enjoying this module. I value learning these new processes at this stage because I can carry them through to later years in my degree. I will post high quality photographs once the sculpture is complete.
