Over the last few weeks as you may have already seen I have been experimenting with new technology. The laser-cutter has been a particular favourite of mine as I love the effects it can create on different surfaces. I have been exploring the idea of technology being able to recreate human drawings – particularly if a drawing is drawn with a specific purpose (e.g meditation – like my Enso drawing.) I tried several techniques on wood including etching (small and large versions) and cutting straight through the wood. I love the effect cutting straight through the wood gives but it is not strong enough to hold as the material falls apart so I may try with plastic.
