New drawing this month based on mythology. The Cosmic Eagle is a figure in mythology supposed to represent light and knowledge. I plan on doing a series of three of these drawings based on different mythological tales. It’s so nice to be drawing again after a large period of photography. I feel that the photography really helped me in the sense that I now know what I want to represent in my drawings – not only has my style changed quite significantly from a few years ago but the subject matter has too. I no longer want to get caught up in too many shading details but rather represent my subject through simple weighted lines. I’m really liking the direction these are going in so far… here’s to the next one!
