When you first walk into the gallery space you are surrounded by darkness. If you have read any of my other exhibition reviews you will know that I love this kind of art where the viewer physically experiences something, or becomes part of the work. Campbell openly invites viewer to walk in and around his work, meaning you almost become part of the piece. His work centralises around the concept of light and movement and so you are drawn to this light in an otherwise dark space. it is really an exhibition to be experienced, but I thought i’d share the photographs I took. One of the highlights is a massive area covered with flickering lightbulbs simulating bird flight.
